If you are currently receiving pellet therapy as part of your treatment plan here at Flourish, your provider may recommend shockwave therapy at your repeat pellet insertion visit. This therapy sends soundwaves into the treated area to break up scar tissue, reduce inflammation, and stimulate new blood vessel growth. This is a necessary part of your BHRT treatment protocol to ensure optimal absorption of pellets, break down existing scar tissue, minimize formation of new scar tissue, maximize blood flow to the area, and to reduce the risk of pellet extrusions. There is a minimal charge for this therapy of $50. Your provider will notify you if this is necessary for your continued treatment plan.
